An intense research activity concentrated in the last decade has demonstrated that supercritical carbon dioxide can be used as an attractive alternative for the aqueous and organic solvents. This book presents an overview of the application of supercritical carbon dioxide, mainly focused on the synthesis of polymers such as vinyl polymers, conducting polymers, and biodegradable polymers. In addition, this book addresses the challenges for preparation of the polymeric nanoparticles by RESS and RESOLV methods. A small portion was also dedicated to carbon dioxide aided drug delivery and molecular encapsulation of drugs into different host materials. I believe that this book should be very helpful for scientists involved in multi-disciplinary research topics and industrial communities who are interested in the class of conducting polymers and biopolymers for drug delivery, and also the particle engineering with carbon dioxide for a wide range of applications.
