This work is part of a Masters Research Thesissubmitted to the school of Arts and Social Sciencesat Moi University- Eldoret. The is a philosophicalevaluation of factors affecting women empowerment inthe world. The author builds on the cultural issuesof discrimination in education and property rightsand shows how women are affected negatively and henceneed for their empowerment. Although it focuses onthe Kenyan situation, the author draws experiencesfrom different parts of the world hence making itsuitable for all readers.
