Radiation induced damages in materials has always been a topic of great interest in various fields of sciences. In this book the author presents irradiation effect of 8MeV/2MeV electron beam on various physical properties of thermoplastic polymers viz., Polypropylene (PP), High density polyethylene (HDPE), Ultrahigh molecular weight ethylene (UHMWPE), Poly (ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) (EVA) and Poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC). The book presents detailed discussion on modifications in structural, optical, electrical and thermal properties of polymers studied by means of FTIR spectrometer, UV-vis absorption spectrophotometer, impedance analyzer and TA- instruments. The vast database generated in the book serves as a novel repository of systematic information on these polymers.
