Pharmacists? professional roles have evolved throughout the years, with these changes resulting in a focus on collaborative pharmacist-patient professional relationships. The study was envisaged to determine pharmacists? perception regarding community pharmacy services and to determine the perceptions of the general public with regard to the community pharmacist and the current pharmacy service. Community pharmacist and general public questionnaires were updated and psychometrically evaluated through reliability and validity testing. The questionnaires were distributed amongst pharmacists and consumers. The data collected provides insight on issues relating to pharmacy services such as consultation areas, patient medication records, continuing professional development and implementation of pharmacist prescribing.
