Mutagenic treatment plays an important role in improving crop-plants in relation to their economic use for mankind. In this context, mutation breeding employs the use of chemical mutagens: Colchicine (Col), Ethyl Methane Sulphonate (EMS) and Maleic Hydrazide (MH) and their actions were visualized in detailed manner by estimating various parameters in this book. It incorporates various important informations and works on mutation breeding with recent ones in Dianthus species, a world-wide popular floricultural crop.
