Water Resource Management: Integrated Water Resource Management in a Part of Punjab
Chander Kumar Singh
Punjab as the name applies stands for abundance of water. Nevertheless, it is ironic that the land, which is named after five rivers: Ravi, Chenab, Jhelum, Satluj and Beas is endangered to become the land without water. Its division into Indian Punjab (East Punjab) and Pakistan Punjab (West Punjab) left three major rivers Sutlej, Beas and Ravi in the share of Indian Punjab. The work includes water resource management in Sutlej River Basin in Punjab State, India. In this book various geochemical parameters of groundwater and groundwater potentiality in water resource management has been discussed using modern cutting edge techniques as Remote Sensing and GIS.
