Evaluation of Hunteria Umbellata Seed: Pharmacological and Toxicological Approaches Adejuwon Adeneye

Diabetes mellitus remains a public health nightmare worldwide with no immediate or long-term solution in sight. The current research work evaluates the antihyperglycaemic, antihyperlipidaemic, anti- obesity, toxicity and toxicity reversibility profiles of the water seed extract of Hunteria umbellata, a reputable African antidiabetes plant. The methodology and results of this study provide exciting experimental and research tools for graduate students, researchers and professionals in pharmacy, pharmacology, drug discovery and development and other allied fields.
