As the world is transforming into the knowledge based society, the capacity and competency of the human resources are the major concerns. Moreover, the great leap forward of the technology has demanded competent technical human resource. More precisely, the technical literacy has become the basic needs of the society. Visualizing this essence, almost all countries are now focusing in the engineering education and the reform agenda in engineering education is in the high priority. As a matter of fact, high skilled engineering human resources have become the driving force for the development of the country and prosperity of the people in every country. This work is an attempt to explore issues and strategies of engineering education to attain quality, taking a case of Nepal. This work is focused on exploring and analyzing current issues associated with the quality of engineering higher education and recommending the future strategies for reforming engineering higher education in Nepal.
