The aim of this book is to compare the portrayal of the British Royal Family in the media and those in the film- making industry. The author is interested in the twentieth century and the present. The attention focuses on several members of the Royal Family and events which have been reported by film makers. After the introductory chapter, there is the chapter including facts such as the list of British rulers of the twentieth century, a period of their reign, their interest mainly in a political domain as well as information about their family lives. In the next chapters, the author concentrates on the comparison. Each chapter is subdivided into several subcategories. Each of them is devoted to a particular member of the Royal Family or to events significant for them. At the end of each chapter, there is a summary of results of the comparisons.
