Women's Studies has now emerged as an independent discipline and established as an important field of research across the globe with specific topics related to women's experiences in their day to-day life. One such dimension is violence towards women, which not only indicates men's violence and power over women, but, constrains women, and limits their freedom of choice and movement. These are the live issues and have become the important matters of global agenda.
