Development of newer dosage forms those can overcome the drawbacks of the traditional forms is the need of time. Choorna (fine powders) is the commonly practiced form for Ayurvedic formulations. Although this form is in routine practice for many years, Choorna has many drawbacks which can be tackled easily with development of Syrup and Suspension dosage forms. This is one of the first of its kind of study where along with standard in vitro antimicrobial evaluation the authors have used ex ? vivo studies using treated human serum.
