This project reviews the state of the art of forestry and forest biotechnology in Europe, and surveying the attitudes of European forestry students toward future forest biotechnology applications. The specific goals are to highlight the opportunities presented by plant biotechnology for European forests and the possibility to include this topic in forestry education curricula in order to meet the challenges that we are going to face in the coming decades.
