The goal of the higher education reform in Morocco was to meet the needs of an ever-increasing enrollment and ensure employability of university graduates, in a changing economy. The new reform recommendations emerged from an ad hoc special commission (COSEF) that comprised representatives from political parties, university professors and administrators, trade unions represented in parliament, and religious scholars. The purpose of this book is to identify how the academic reform implementation process was progressing and how faculty members and adminstrative officers at Mohamed V University as well as the Ministry of Higher Education administrative officers perceived the anticipated changes. This book serves as a useful reference for educators and policy makers. The book contributes to the debate concerning higher education reforms in developing African, Arab and Muslim countries. The book also contributes to the literature on Chaos Theory in education, Complexity Theory of Change, Qualitative Research, Interpretive Case Study Research and Education Reform in general.
