A Holistic Security System Using Motion Sensors: Motion Sensor and Its Integration with Security System Punit N. Dhirawani

The Term 'Security' has been frequently used in this day and age. However with ever evolving protocols and parameters,most of the lower-rung security systems have failed to provide a rock-solid defense in the wake of ever -increasing security breaches. With the huge amount of resource allocation and storage, security has become all the more important for Middle-scale industries, which are not exactly looking at high-end ultra-expensive devices. The most commonly used systems are the CCTV. While looking at the several dimensions that this system brings, we decided to focus on one key scientific fact viz.'An average human can concentrate effectively,while on surveillance, for a maximum of 16 minutes'. On the basis of this statement, our project was born. We aimed at creating a holistic security system that would minimize human-involvement in the surveillance and reduce response times that are a bottleneck for many applications. While concentrating on these factors we also kept the budget in mind as the basic aim of this project was to try and build a prototype for an inexpensive and reliable security system.
