Going Through Acculturation: the Cultural Experience of Indonesian Students Living in Germany Kwartarini Wahyu Yuniarti

"Acculturation is not a new topic of inquiry, but when applied to a specific group of Indonesian students living in Germany, it is certainly a new area of investigation worthy of inquiry. Kwartarini Yuniarti is a good colleague of mine. Her sharp thoughts and ideas in digesting knowledge amazed me. This book provides incredible details about the dynamic experiences of Indonesian students going through acculturation. Not only the depth of the study but also the wide coverage of sampling, and its sequential explorative design, that allows us to get an integrative and comprehensive knowledge of acculturation. Moreover, this monograph can serve as a model for studies concerning acculturation of individuals from other ethnicities in other nations. It is a rich example of a study on acculturation" ---- David Matsumoto, Ph. D., Professor of Psychology, San Francisco State University
