SooA is an addressing approach for autonomous networking systems. It is a distributed and stateful addressing protocol, which operates under the concepts of pool of addresses, creating two types of hierarchies among the nodes: the relationship between server and clients; and the relationship between two or more servers. The book is divided in three main sections: (i) a comprehensive background review, covering implementation topics for addressing protocols and already proposed solutions for autonomous networks; (ii) a introduction of the proposed protocol, named SooA, with detailed description of its architecture, elements and functionalities; and (iii) the experiment analysis of three different approaches for self-addressing, plus SooA, in two networking scenarios, to validate the basic functionalities of addressing resources allocation and management.
