The chemical composition of soil particularly its elemental content is environmentally important because depending on their concentration,levels of toxic elements can reduce soil fertility,can increase input to food chain and ultimately can endanger human health. In this book contamination level of different trace metals for different locations of Agra, India in different seasons were analyzed, they were also compared with other sites of India of whom data was available. Many tools have been applied to explain sources,correlation, enrichment etc. With the increasing evidence of association of these pollutants with health impacts the data in this study will add to the existing body of knowledge and to a better understanding of toxic components which can provide the background information upon which long term campaigns for population exposure asssesments will be based.
