How do motion pictures portray photojournalists - both still photographers and television cameramen - in film? Do these depictions present stereotypes of visual journalists, and are ethical considerations taken into affect? This book attempts to find answers to these questions through a scholarly approach. By querying the Image of the Journalist in Popular Culture Database through the University of Southern California-Annenberg,and critiquing the evident and implied characteristics of photojournalists portrayed in movies from 1954 to 2006, the author is able to draw certain conclusions from the findings of this study.
