Water Balance in Eco-climatic Studies of Jharkhand State, India Tigga Anuja

Water balance is a rational scientific tool to understand many climatic and hydrological parameters such as climatic types, intensity and frequency of droughts, water surplus, water deficit, crop suitability etc. Temperature and rainfall data which are easily and widely available for many places are used in the computation of water balance. For sustainable agricultural practice, managing droughts, land use planning, assessing irrigational water needs of crops etc., climatic conditions of an area must be known. Water balance is one important scientific tool which is capable to solve many problems related to ecology and environment
