Education is something, which makes a man self-reliant and self-less. Education is a process, which does all round harmonious development of the individual to modify his behavior, attitude and thinking. Education means training for the country and love for the nation. It plays a tremendous role in economical and social development and national integration of country. It includes all the knowledge and experiences, acquired during infancy, childhood, adolescence youth manhood and old age any agency of education. While many strategies may be put forward to reduce high failure rates, at school level it is important for science educators and other educational leaders and policy makers to recognize what the students themselves perceive as the causes and antecedents of school failure in order to better comprehend students? academic needs. A better understanding of student perceptions of the factors that lead to failure can provide one way of informing the science education community about what should be done if we want to increase academic success and reduce the risk of school abandonment. The purpose of this study, therefore, was to find the causes of student failure in mathematics.
