The present work was undertaken to investigate the seed-borne mycoflora contaminated some economical Egyptian grains and seeds during storage. Some fungi produce mycotoxins in these grains and seeds. These fungi were isolated and identified and mycotoxin-producers were also detected. The name of mycotoxins present in fungal metabolites were identified by using TLC method. Plant extracts from some medicinal plants were used to control mycotoxin-producers. Plant extracts were also sprayed on contaminated seeds for control. Plant extracts from medicinal plants are promising for controlling seed-borne fungi of many grains and seeds.
