Osteoporosis is getting more important in contemporary population. One of the aims to study archeological material is to know better information about the history of the diseases Some osteoporotic cases were found in different areas and periods but few cases were reported in ancient Egypt. Most of archeological findings were sporadic and survies are few. The more important conclusion of studying osteoporosis in this ancient population is that it was mainly age-related bone loss and demonstrated the role of gender and the effect of the social status.
