Cervical degenerative disc disease is common and disabling. Multiple factors are responsible for symptoms. Although, conservative treatment can be efficient, still there are patients who may improve only by surgery. Surgical procedures are variable. Cervical disc replacement is gaining popularity, but in many patients this could not be a valid option. Cervical decompression and fusion remains a rewarding procedure. Fusion devices are supposed to maintain the fused segment height, correct deformity, and aid in bony fusion. Cervical cages are good option for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. Variable designs, materials, and sizes of cages are available to choose from. This work evaluates three different types of cervical cages and their ability to improve the clinical and radiological picture of patients with degenerative cervical disc disease.
