Socio Economic Status and Poverty Reduction Effort in Majhi Community Austa Kumar Shrestha

Majhi is one of the ethnic groups and backward communities of Nepal generally settling in mid-Hills and inner Terai. Hardly, the research has been done about their culture, social and economical status. It is hoped that this research paper will assist to find out Majhis' ground reality and assist to plan for their betterment to Government and Non-Government organizations. Additionally, it will also give information of their effort on poverty reduction program and its impact. Even for the foreigners, this research paper will assist to know the heterogeneous socio-cultural perspectives of Nepal.
