The book entitled ?Efficacy of novel insecticides on major insect pests of tomato crop?. This book consists of different chapter from introduction of tomato crop and their major insect pest to conclusion. The tomato is considered as an important commercial and dietary vegetable crop. The tomato crop is damaged by many insect-pests but the major insect- pest is H.armigera, B. tabacci and A. devastans. These pest affect the quality of fruits and causes Economic loss. For control of these pests different novel insecticides i.e . Imidacloprid, Fipronil, Profenofos, Indoxacarb, Novaluron and Spinosad were tested in which Imidacloprid and Fipronil found most effective than other insecticidal treatments in controlling whitefly and leaf hopper and treatment Spinosad found to be most effective against tomato fruit borer and gives highest marketable yield. The experiment carrying at Student Instructional Farm (SIF) of C S A University. The book would be of paramount importance for post ? graduate students who worked on these pests.
