Analytic Signal Analysis of Aeromagnetic Data over Zaria Area, Nigeria Elijah Edet Nkitnam

The author applied 3D analytic signal technique to aeromagnetic data over the Zaria area of Northwest Nigeria. The analytic signal transformation of potential data has vital application in lithologic mapping by distinguishing intrusive rocks from the surrounding rocks. The result was used to map the boundary of the granitic rocks and structural discontinuities and also to delineate the Batholith Complex in the area. Researchers and students of earth sciences including applied geophysicists and geologists interested in regional mapping and study of batholiths, and or in the application of modern Geophysical edge detection techniques in crustal studies and the delineation of large rock bodies such as Batholiths will find this work useful.
