Ethnomedicine is a sub discipline of Medical Anthropology. It is a study of beliefs and practices concerning illness in different human populations. Precisely,dealing with those practices and knowledge systems, which are not derived from the conceptual framework of modern medicine. It observes and describes hygienic, preventive and healing practices of Indigenous society.
