This book examines the motivational strategies for motivating public sector workers in Kenya. It interrogates the level of motivation in the public service, identifies the motivational strategies currently used in the service, and makes a bold attempts to determine the extent to which managers agree or disagree that the motivational strategies developed in this work would be effective in motivating employees. The findings in this book indicate a low level of motivation among public service employees. It is further established within this text that the government can no longer afford substantial increment in workers salaries because the wage bill is already extremely high. It is observed herein that any further increase in salaries would have a negative impact on Kenya's economy. The findings and recommendations in this book are relevant as it suggests ways of enhancing the levels of motivation in the public service to improve service delivery in the public sector without allocation of vast financial resources. Besides, this work recommends the application of the Integrated Motivational Strategy Model in its entirety to enhance the level of motivation among employees.
