Perspectives on Cancer in Jordan: National Assessment Muayyad Ahmad

The contents of this book are useful to understand how a systematic random sampling provides a valid information on assessing cancer from the population perspective. The purpose of this survey was to describe the knowledge, attitudes and practices towards cancer prevention, early detection and care in a representative sample of the population in Jordan. The survey tool probes a multitude of aspects in order to comprehensively evaluate population perceptions regarding cancer. The findings of this study help in providing comprehensive and high quality care to healthy individuals and patients with cancer and their families. Furthermore, this study warrants appropriate actions to be taken by relevant parties such as healthcare providers, outreach specialists, and policy-makers.
