Treatability Evaluation of Pinus Radiata by Penetration Indices Method Pradeep Kumar Poddar

Radiata pine(Pinus radita) is moderately durable wood in New Zealand's climatic condition and it may not be durable in other countries conditions thus it is necessary to test the durability of the wood after different preservative treatment in natural conditions because different parts of the world have wide variation in climate condition. The present investigations indicate that Radiata pine wood can be satisfactorily treated with preservatives. Preservation can enhance wood life up to 4-8 folds but it is necessary to ascertain the treatability of wood.
