The book helps in understanding creativity and creative individuals from the current socio-cultural context. The study was conducted in two phases; Phase 1 attempted to understand creativity from the eyes of the public and Phase 2 aimed to understand the concept of creativity from the perceived creative individuals themselves also three psychometric tests were used [Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (2002), The Resilience Scale (1993), Levenson's Locus of Control (1973)] - to understand the psychological correlates of creativity. The results of the study has helped to understand creativity as a continuous process of growth which begins in childhood and is enhanced as the child grows. Creativity can be understood as a working model which involves the thinking process, perceptions, idea utilization, resource utilization, motivation and emotions of the individual and finally in terms of the product. The powerful role played by Parents and Schools in developing creativity is also understood from the study.
