Arabian Oryx (Oryx leucoryx) is known as Maha, Wudhaihi, Baqar al Wash, and Boosolah. In English it is also called ´White Oryx´ (IUCN SCC, 2011). According to Price (1989), Arabian Oryx are the largest of antelopes endemic to the plains and deserts of the Arabian Peninsula. Historically the Arabian Oryx was well spread over many countries of the Arabian Peninsula, such as Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. It is well adapted to the extremely arid environmental conditions of Arabian deserts.
