Post Disaster Situation of the Disaster Affected People: a Study in Dacope Upazila of Khulna District, Bangladesh Sk. Nazmus Sakib

The study was conducted on the impact of cyclone Aila on the livelihood pattern of the people in coastal area of Bangladesh. The objectives included the societal impacts of cyclone Aila on life of the people, the economic losses of the people, the institutional condition, health hazard, vulnerabilities of women and children and environmental shock of cyclone Aila. The study was consummate with 120 respondents and used purposive sampling. The survey and case study methods were used for conducting the study. An interview schedule was used to collect data from the field during March, 2012. It was an effort to depict the real picture how people of these areas remained vulnerable incredibily after so many times of disaster. The researcher expect from readers that all unintentional errors of this work will be considered.
