Migration of mothers in international labor market is a growing phenomenon of Bangladesh. Here, mothers from lower and lower-middle class rural households are setting new trends of migration overseas leaving their children behind. Mothers? migration affects children?s survival and well being. But consequences resulting from maternal migration do not bring equal end for all children. Gendered socialization contributes behind such difference in that regard. This book is an effort in revealing gender aspects and dimensions among children in left-behind households of migrant mothers.
