Curriculum entails all the happenings under the jurisdiction of a school. There are three main dimensions of curriculum: The formal, informal and non-formal. These three are all important towards all-rounded development of learners. Since Independence, Kenya inherited colonial hang ups whereby its learners strive to achieve academically in order to get into employment, specifically white-collar jobs. The result of this has been individuals who have been left out in the academic ladder and consequently out of employment. Yet, there are so many opportunities for people in non academic avenues such as games and sports, clubs and societies and creative arts. Added to that is the fact that many Kenyans today earn a decent living through nurturing their talents. Many still struggle for lean opportunities, even when they are seriously hampered, because all people cannot equally achieve. The way forward is to explore all other opportunities that a learner is exposed to allow them a placing in life.
