The textbook carries on the tradition of presenting oral pathology in a clinically useful format. The approach taken within this textbook is not designed to promote a particular classification scheme, or necessarily to device a new one, but a detail diagnostic criteria & provide appropriate & comprehensive illustration to assist the pathologist in categorizing giant cell lesions. The age old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words is particularly true for this type of book, therefore, I have opted to include more pictures rather than words. Photomicrographs for most of the lesions have been included in this book. For some years oral pathologists have been looking forward to an updated book on the subject. The book will be of particular interest to postgraduates & specialists in oral pathology, general pathologist, oral & maxillofacial surgeons, radiologists & undergraduate students of dentistry. All the incorporations have been authenticated by giving necessary bibliography at the end of the book and the appropriate source of information has been acknowledged. This is the first edition of the book & lapses if any on my part will be taken care of based on the feedback
