Software Reuse is the process of implementing or updating software systems using existing software reusable components. To improve the practicality of software reuse one has to have knowledge of its location and understanding of the software reusable component. Hence the software reuse repositories must be developed with efficient representation of software components which facilitate the developer to locate and retrieve the components very easily as per the requirements. Software reuse greatly reduces the effort, development time and costs of the software. It focuses on various challenges involved in software reusable component classification and retrieval methods, ranking algorithms and optimization methods. A web based software tool is proposed with a new integrated classification scheme, to classify and retrieve as well as build a comprehensive software reuse repository. These chapters are more research oriented and are mainly intended for researchers working on software reuse.
