The combination of the findings of number of studies revealed that the phenomenon of stress problem of teachers is widespread and is not restricted to a particular country and may have an impact on teachers as individuals, on the schools in which they work and on the pupils they teach. Unfortunately, previous studies did not look in to what teachers feel about their job. In addition, the study did not assess which biographical groups experienced occupational stress more. The objectives of the present study were to identify whether high school teachers experienced occupational stress, the sources of stress and to see if the level of stress is related to various biographical variables such as Gender, age and experience.
