The text very clearly explains the procedures of re-describing, identifying and naming species. This text also explains in detail the variations within the species. This text is also useful for people working in the area of weed control with detail knowledge of various species describe here. Biology of various species including pod flies, Melanagromyza albisquama(Malloch),are presented which was not clarified earlier. Knowledge of Biology of these flies can be used in designing and forming strategies of integrated pest management. This study will be helpful in the development of grain legume network and researches all over the world. It is a basic as well as applied research that can protect leguminous plants to slove world protien deficiences.
