The present transportation system has minimized the distance in travelling, but it has on the other hand increased the life risk of road users. Road traffic injuries are a major source of death and injury in Africa(Nigeria) with thousand's of people killed each year. The observations from the present study indicate the need to implement a system that will monitor and minimize the major security risk in transportation system for a regular evaluation of accident trends in relation to a critical evaluation and innovation of accident counter measures in developing countries. This project elaborate on a Traffic monitoring and information system (Mobility monitoring suit) Using GPS Technology, with a view to monitor, respond and enhance safety, thereby minimizing the environmental impact of vehicle congestion and accidents in general.
