Counseling process places overwhelming psychological and emotional distress on the counselor, which often leads to burnout. All professional organizations acknowledge that burnout is inevitable in counseling and recommend counselor supervision for all counselors. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between counselor supervision and level of burnout among VCT counselors in selected counties in Kenya. The study employed correlation ex-post-facto research design and was carried out in 96 VCT centres located in 13 counties in Kenya. A sample of 175 VCT counselors was obtained using purposive, proportionate and simple random sampling methods. Data was collected using a questionnaire for VCT counselors and another for counselor supervisors. Descriptive statistics including percentages, means, cross tabulations and inferential statistics namely the Pearson?s correlation co-efficient, chi square, simple regression analysis and factor analysis were used to analyze the data at a significance level of 0.05.
