Cassava Farmers'access to Agricultural Information in Delta State Sidney Awhareno

Agriculture has been the main source of food and raw materials for the ever increasing population in Nigeria. It has been argued that for agriculture growth to occur in Nigeria, it will be through information dissemination on improved technologies. Information is an important factor in any human endeavour as it enables individuals makes timely and informed decisions that would assist them in whatever activity they might be engaged in. Agricultural information dissemination is crucial to the productivity of farmers and makes them learn about those things which they are not aware of. With the avalanche of information on cassava production technologies, farmers are still faced with cassava production challenges. It is against this background that this book therefore was written to promote the level of utilization of agricultural information and highlights the limitations to the utilization of such information by cassava farmers in the Delta state. It is hoped that this book would satisfy the needs of all stakeholders in the emerging cassava industry in Nigeria, including students, teachers and researchers
