The book is a psychological investigation of Indian women police. In this paper, the history and growth of women police in different countries are surveyed; the origin, growth and present situation of Indian women police is introduced; also, the problems faced by Indian women police are analysed and summarized. The psychological study on career police women in India is based on hard empirical data backed by personal interviews with questionnaires which include Job-satisfaction scale and Modernism scale. The investigation was mainly focused on the effects of the related factors, such as age, education, position/rank, and income, length of employment, marriage, family organization and number of children etc. on the job-satisfaction and modernism of police women officers. According to the investigated results, age, education, position and the length of employment have significant influence on the job-satisfaction of women police officers.
