The winds of change that are blowing over Latin-America and that are leading it to look for solutions in the so called political left, must call our attention about the situation that we are witnessing. It is no coincidence that it was when we were in deep crisis at the end of the sixties and well into the seventies that the Philosophy of Liberation appeared in the philosophical horizon. The historical moment that we are living seems proper to return to this philosophy because of the necessity of defining conceptually the root of our problems and the possible solution. From our activity we can contribute to the search of viable solutions, we can conceptualize problems and solutions and thus put into context the movement that we begin to see as untidy and chaotic, we can contribute from the reason to a necessary change, we can help to put order in the disorder. However, Can these local and global changes be absorbed by the proposal stated in the Philosophy of Liberation? Is it adequate to rescue it in order to propose it as a normative instrument for the changes we are already witnessing?
