The evolution of urban areas largely depend on their functional characteristics. To perform these functions properly, a strong internal and external communication system has been required. There comes the importance of transport infrastructure that plays an important role in combining all these activities into a unity. It is because, the connectivity, internal and external flows of commodities, business, trade and commerce, movement of people, supply of food, clothes, building materials, fuel and many other essential items are directly dependent upon transport network. Besides, alignment of intra-urban roads plays an important role in giving a shape to the settlements. In case of the given area, each subsequent phase of urban transport development has led to different spatial structures. Whenever new urban roads are built, the subsequent changes in the urban form, land price & rent have been observed. The objective of this study is to observe and interpret these changing patterns.
