This study is a new area in the Nepalese context. Thousands of Nepali students go abroad for higher education. Nepal is one of the main student sending countries in the USA, UK and Australia. This is the first research by blending both quantitative and qualitative methods. The main purpose of the research was to identify the causes and trends of student mobility and to explore expectations, aspirations and perceptions of potential, current and returnee students. This study has extensively analyzed four research questions and interesting case studies are developed in qualitative chapters. The researcher reviewed the literature at the Harvard and Princeton University of the USA and Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India. Finally, students aspiring to go abroad for higher education and scholars must read this book.
