Performance of Three Vegetables in Association with Lohakat Tree: Agroforestry Suranjit Basak

This research was conducted in agroforestry field in Bangladesh Agricultural University. As Bangladesh is a highly populated country and facing a great problem by Global worming and natural calamities so, now its Agricultural sector falls under the threaten condition. To over come this condition Agroforestry is the best way for the enhancement of crop production as well as increase the forest area of the country. This research shows how Agroforestry can build up the tree-crop relationship for their establishment which will helpful for the poor farmers to get the extra income in an Eco-friendly condition. For identifying the compatible tree-vegetable combination, particularly under storey species,the best way of experimentation is to grow different vegetable at different spacing from the tree. So, if we know the suitability of different vegetable in terms of growth and yield, it would be very useful information for selecting the best tree-vegetable combination. For this reason, It is a very important Book for Agroforestry Researcher to conduct a such type of research.
