Education is an endless quest for ascent and excellence. It becomes more explicit and poignant when it is translated into perfection inherent in every human being. It is interesting that Swami Vivekananda the great spiritual visionary of the world has projected the vision of spirituality for excellence and advancement in and through education of the right mind and of the right kind. Swami Vivekananda has undertaken divergent avenues of spirituality, and education which are necessary means where ignorance and apathy are always replaced by the marvels and undaunted force of spiritual serenity of vision. Swami Vivekananda?s philosophy is rooted in Ved?nta idealism. He presented very pragmatic and practical scheme of education. He suggested diversification of curriculum, education of senses, education of the mind, education for livelihood and education for elimination of poverty. Swami Vivekananda was conscious of the appealing poverty of the country and he understood the importance of pragmatic value of education.
