Coral reefs of south Sinai are among the most important reef communities all over the world. Moreover, they are ecosystems providing shelters for a large variety of organisms including urchins, cucumbers, molluscs, as well as other benthic species, forming together what the scientist call the ?Rainforests of the Sea? as they harbor an extremely diverse range of species. Only a few studies have been directed to ecological aspects of these macro-invertebrates. This study aims to investigate the community structure of the molluscs and echinoderms fauna in coral reef habitats at Abu Galum marine protected area.
