Homoeopathy today is a rapidly growing system and is being practiced almost all over the world. This study was aimed to hold good the laws of similars, simplex and minimum. It was aimed for a comparative evaluation of the efficacy of single remedy prescription with combination/patent medicines prescription. The study was conducted in two groups of patients with emotional disturbances and illness like stress, tension and anxiety disorders. Patented medicines were given for one group and the other group received single medicines considering the totality of symptoms as per Herrings?. Results of the study stated that the treatments by a single remedy rather than mixing with any other medicines nor administering more than one medicine at a time gave clear field observations of recovery. Use of combination overshadows the effort of individualizing the patient. Thereby repertorization became ineffective. The task of selecting the most similar remedy out of many apparently similar ones is nerve wrecking. Those conditions which are not covered by single remedy or those requiring higher potency, required further medicines, hence caused mild and delay but produced permanent cure.
